TOW 3: Final Project

24/09/2010 § Leave a comment

As a class, we now have the opportunity to all work on a special project for Sprint. We don’t have all the details as of yet, but it seems like our class is going to break off into groups, coming up with campaign ideas for marketing Sprint and their new 4G network to college campuses.

We are going to have Android phones to work with, whether it be individual ones or one for the group, so that we can experience the service and the quality of the Sprint Network and then we are going to take what we have experienced and use it to promote Sprint.

According to a press release from Sprint, “Sprint is the first national wireless carrier to test, launch and market 4G technology, which delivers download speeds up to 10 times faster than 3G(1). Sprint made history by launching 4G service in Baltimore in September 2008 and continues to lead the charge in rolling out 4G in cities across America.”

Not only is 4G something new to our nation but it has just launched in Orlando.”‘Orlando is the third city in Florida to receive 4G service,’ said Matt Carter, president of Sprint 4G. ‘We are continuing to deliver on our commitment to serve our customers by rolling out 4G in more cities in 2010. Customers in Florida are hungry for the power and speed that 4G provides and today they have it.’ To demonstrate the confidence that Sprint has in the power of 4G, Sprint offers the Sprint Free Guarantee, which allows customers to try 4G for 30 days. If they are not satisfied, they can cancel service and have the opportunity to be fully reimbursed.2″
